A new paper related to the PIEZAGRO project has been recently published. Stable isotope datasets obtained in Herdade da Mitra (Évora, Alentejo, Portugal) were used together with datasets from several other European experimental areas to explore to what extent water isotope measurements could help evaluate the simulation of the soil water budget in land-surface models (LSM). To do so, the dynamic of water stable isotopes has been implemented in the ORCHIDEE LSM. This article presents the implementation and the evaluation of simulations.
